Hello Bookish friends! I hope you are having a lovely day so far.

I have compiled a list of book series that I honestly love! Reading them brought a smile to my face and warmth to my heart.

All of these series are about vampires, werewolves, witches, and yes, zombies!

If you enjoy reading young adult fantasy then these books are definitely for you.

If you have read them let me know what your thoughts are in the comments below!

Strange Angel Series by Lili St. Crow

“Dad? Zombie. Mom? Long Gone. Me? Well, that’s the scary part.

The Real World is a frightening place. Just ask sixteen-year-old orphan Dru Anderson, a tough girl who has taken down her fair share of bad guys. She’s armed, dangerous, and ready to kill first and ask questions later. So it’s gonna take her a while to figure out who she can trust…

Dru Anderson has been “strange” for as long as she can remember, traveling from town to town with her father to hunt the things that go bump in the night. It’s a weird life, but a good one – until it all explodes in an icy, broken-down Dakota town, when a hungry zombie busts through her kitchen door. Alone, terrified, and trapped, Dru’s going to need every inch of her wit and training to stay alive. The monsters have decided to hunt back – and this time, Dru’s on their menu. Chances of survival? Slim to none.

If she can’t last until sunup, it’s game over … “

The Strange Angel series consists of five books. They follow Dru on an adventure of discovering what she can do and her part in The Real World.

Dru is a sarcastic, sassy badass and without her father she needs to figure out her next step.

Throughout this series there is love, adventure, heart break, werewolf, vampires and zombies! A definite recommend from me.

The Morganville Vampires By Rachel Caine

The Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine

Synopsis: Glass House (Book 1)

“Morganville is a small college in the heart of Texas that its share of quirky characters – and some evil ones too. When student Claire Danvers moves off campus into one of Morganvilles oldest houses, she finds that her roomates don’t show many signs of life. But they will have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secret comes crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.”

Synopsis: The Dead Girls’ Dance (Book 2)

Claire Danvers has her share of challenges – like living among the creatures of the night. On the upside, she has a great roommate (who tends to disappear at sunup) and a new boyfriend. Now a fraternity is throwing its annual Dead Girls’ Dance and – surpirse! – Claire and her equally outcasted friends have been invited. When they find out why, all hell breaks loose, because this time both the living and the dead are ready to tear up the night.

As you can see in the picture above, the first two books came bound in one novel.

This series has fifteen books. Yes FIFTEEN!

This contributes to one of the reason I love this series so much because there are so many adventures.

The main character, Claire Danvers, is special in the sense that she started university at sixteen years old. She is a brainiac, loves school and is super smart!

However, when problems in her dorm send her looking for a new place to live she meets an interesting bunch of outcasts.

This series is so good! It is honestly time for me to do a full reread but that TBR list is already so long but I will get to it! (eventually)

If you love a unique world, awesome characters and a little bit of romance, then this definitely the series for you!

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

The Night World By L. J. Smith

The night world series consists of three books that contain three shorter stories in each. Each story has new characters but they are connected in some way or another.

“Vampires, werewolves, witches and shapshifters – they live among us without our knowledge. Night World is their secret society, a secret society with very strict rules. And falling in love breaks the laws of the Night world.”

L.J. Smith is known for The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle, both TV series that aired on the CW.

However, she has written many other series including the Night World.

The highlights for this series are the characters. I find that each character is distinct, has their own personality, fears and wants.

Plus, the Night World is filled with mystery, romance, heart ache and adventure.

A House of Night Book Series by P.C Cast and Kristin Cast

Marked A House of Night Novel by PC Cast and Kristin Cast

“Enter the dark, magical world of the house of night, a world very much like our own, except here vampyres have always existed. Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been marked as a fledgling vampyre and joins the house of night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampyre. That is, if she makes it through the change – and not all of those who are marked do.

It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no average fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx. Zoey discovers she has amazing powers, but along with her powers come bloodlust and an unfortunate ability to imprint her human ex-boyfriend. To add to her stress, she not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers: When she discovers the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite group, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny – with a little help from her new vampyre friends.”

Are you a fan of longer book series?

This book series has twelve books in it!

I personally love them but obviously the storyline has to captivating enough for me to continue. Now that being said, I have read this series a long time ago.

I remember loving it. The sassy main character, Zoey and her sworn enemy Aphrodite have a great relationship that fluctuates throughout the series.

Also, vampire teenagers who can do magic, add in the stressors of high school and you get drama!

There are so many elements to this series making it very captivating. As a reader, you do no know what will happen next!

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead Book series about Vampires

“Sydney Sage is an Alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. Alchemists protect vampire secrets – and human lives.

The Moroi court believe Jill and Sydney will be safe at Amberwood Prep, but threats, distractions and forbidden romance lurk both outside – an wtihin – the school grounds. Now that they’re in hiding, the drama is only just beginning. “

So I am in love with the Vampire Academy series also by Richelle Mead, you can read my review here!

The Bloodlines Series is a spin off of the Vampire Academy, in the same world with some of the same characters. It contains four books.

I have read the Vampire Academy Series multiple times which is why I picked up this series. Now I have only started reading the first book but I have high hopes!

After being in the world of Moroi, Damphir and Strogoi, I am intrigued to see what the Alchemists bring to the table.

Plus, Adrian Ivashkov is in it and that makes me excited!
